Haley Hill
Rachel McPherson Council Scholarship

Haley Hill attended Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga,
TN, where she was Senior Class President, Captain of the
Varsity Cross Country and Track teams, and member of
National Honor Society and Beta Club. She represented her
school as a delegate to Tennessee Girls State her junior year. She
has been a member of the track team for four years, three of
which her team claimed the state championship title. Haley
was very involved in Young Life, a Christian organization,
through her high school career. The past two summers she has
volunteered for a month in Colorado on work crew. She has
also volunteered the past four summers as a counselor for a
summer camp for inner-city, underprivileged girls. During
school, Haley's heart for serving would shine as she quietly
tutored girls through National Honor Society. Her hard work
and gentle determination paid off this spring when she
graduated with a 4.0 and high honors from GPS. Haley, a
member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College,
plans on majoring in Art at the university, with a
concentration on graphic design, and also obtain a minor in
business.
