Jackson Flenorl
Rose Jackson Flenorl is manager of Global Community Relations and Philanthropy for FedEx. She coordinates the community relations efforts for the company including financial contributions, in-kind shipping, employee volunteer programs, and international/national non-profit alliances.
She represents FedEx on the Center for Corporate Citizenship Advisory Board at Boston College and the Conference Board Contributions Council II.
An active participant in the community, Rose serves on several boards including the United Way of the Mid-South, the National Civil Rights Museum, Saint Francis Hospital, and the University of Mississippi Alumni Association. She is a graduate of Leadership Mississippi, Leadership Memphis and Tennessee Leadership.
Rose was awarded the Memphis Black Business Directory’s “Simply the Best Award” as premier civic supporter, the Girl’s Inc. “She Knows Where She’s Going Award,” and the Mertie Buckman Mentor Award from the Women’s Foundation. She is a recipient of the Memphis Woman Magazine “50 Women Who Make A Difference Award,” the National Society of Fund Raising Executives’ Crystal Award for Philanthropy, the Black Business Association Benny Award for Outstanding Community Involvement, the Urban League J.A. McDaniel Award, and the Girl Scout Council of the Mid-South Character Award.
A member of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Rose received the AKA South Eastern Region Vanessa Rogers Long Humanitarian Award and the University of Memphis Chapter of AKA Prominent Black Woman Award. She is also a member of the River City Chapter of The Links, Inc., and an associate member of Jack and Jill of America.
A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Rose was the first black female named to the student Hall of Fame and was chosen by Glamour Magazine as one of the top 10 college women in the United States. Rose was inducted into the Ole Miss Alumni Hall of Fame in 1998. In addition to serving on the University of Mississippi Alumni Association board of directors, she serves on the Ole Miss Athletic Committee, the Journalism Advisory Board, and is a charter member of the Ole Miss Women’s Council.
Rose is a member of the Greenwood C.M.E. Church. She is married to Richard Lee Flenorl. They have one daughter, Lillie Clarissa.
